My Fall Garden
One of the best things about living in Southern Louisiana is a year-round growing season!
Here’s a peak into my garden. We just did some planting.
New Orleans is in Zone 9b on the plant hardiness map. The late fall and winter gardens are all about cruciferous plants (broccoli, cauliflower, kale, Brussel sprouts, cabbage, collard greens, and turnips) and lettuces. So I’ve got:
Dinosaur Kale
Broccoli
Romaine lettuce
I’ve also have a carrot (yes, one carrot), some herbs, and flowers. I’ve left in the summer plants that are still doing well: watermelon, tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant.
Happy gardening!
Thanks for reading!
